Wayne F. Andersen
Wayne F. Andersen, 81, of Glasgow, Montana, passed away at FMDH on August 5, 2026. He was born September 3, 1938 to Irna and William Andersen. He was the oldest of two brothers.
After graduating from high school, he joined the military and married Gloria Jellum. They had three children, the oldest was born in France. They later divorced.
Wayne spent most of his live serving the Valley County community. He was an active outdoorsman. You could find him as a lineman for the electric co-op atop an electric pole or on horseback on his ranch. He loved “cowboying”, hunting, fishing and playing cards. His hunting and fishing included: Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, Canada and the Pacific Ocean.
Wayne’s knowledge and skill in firearms and archery were proficient, and he enjoyed competing at events. He met Patti Henley at an archery event and they became lifetime partners.
A highlight in Wayne’s life was getting his airplane. He enjoyed flying over the local scenery and to designated areas. He especially enjoyed “giving rides”. On one occasion, he assisted the 9th Grade Science Class in determining a weight and distance experiment. When a couple of the students got sick, he handed them a “barf bag” and assured them this was not unusual.

He is survived by his wife, Patti; daughters: Jackie and Michelle; daughter-in-law, Macie; three grandchildren: Kathryn, Dawn and Dwayne; five grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis and Bill; and longtime friend, Doug Cook.
