Family will receive friends with a visitation for Phil Whittle, age 77, of Nashua, Montana who died August 22, 2026, at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital. He was born on July 27, 1949, in Glasgow, Montana to LeRoy Whittle and Fern Risa. He Received his early education at Glasgow Schools, graduating from Glasgow High School. Phil married Tiny Allard on August 16, 1978.
Right out of high school he entered the US Army and went to Germany and Vietnam and served as a Crew Chief with high honor.
He enjoyed his time working on the railroad and watching his kids playing sports and growing up. He loved spending time with his family and going camping, spending time with his dogs and telling his stories. He adored his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Tiny Whittle; siblings: John Whittle (Donna), Lois Davidson (Jim), Colleen Whittle-Murray, Dave Whittle (Bev); children: Jason Whittle, Michael Whittle (Anna), Amber Voyles (Craig); grandchildren: Faith, Noah, Eli, Rylie, Brandon, Destiny, Maddy, Troy, John, Lily and Skylar; several nieces and nephews, and his first great-granddaughter on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents LeRoy and Fern Whittle, brother-in-law Brent Murray, and grandson Mikey.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
