Glasgow City Council Will Address Employee Pay

At the regular Glasgow City Council meeting on Monday the council will take up city employee pay with several resolutions up for consideration.

The council will be asked to approve a resolution for a 2.5% increase in pay for union and non-unio bargaining employees for fiscal years 2026-2027 and 2027-2028.

Another resolution up for consideration is for the city to pay 100% of health insurance premiums for all union and non-union employees.

The council will also consider a 2-year collective bargaining agreement between the City of Glasgow and Teamsters' Local Union No. 2 for a 2-year period.

The final resolution will state the salaries and compensation of elected and appointed city officers and all city employees for this fiscal year. This excludes the Glasgow Police Department as negotiations haven't concluded with the GPD officers.

Those salaries include a salary of $1015.37 per month for the Mayor and $405 a month for all council members.

The highest paid employee working for the City of Glasgow is the Public Works Director with a salary of $62.50 per hour.
