A new survey by One Poll reveals that 63% of parents say their Summer-holiday relaxation disappears once school starts. Other findings:
- 58% of parents feel relieved when the family returns to its usual school schedule. Other findings:
- 60% of parents say dealing with tired or irritable children is one of the toughest parts of starting the school year.
- 62% of parents frequently struggle to come up with meals or snacks for their children.
- 81% of parents who pack school lunches include sandwiches, while 63% include fresh fruit. Ham sandwiches are the most popular sandwich choice at 46%, followed by chicken sandwiches at 27%. Bananas are the most popular fruit at 37%, followed by apples at 34%.
- 83% of parents look forward to hearing about their child’s day
- 75% of parents look forward to the moment their children fall asleep and the house becomes quiet.
