Keeping your booty in shape would be a whole lot easier if you didn’t have to figure out ways to stay motivated to move your body around. Nothing good comes without effort, and sometimes it’s hard to find ways to stay fired up to get a little exercise. If motivation is something you’re in need of, here are a few expert tips to help get you going.
Start paying better attention to the amount of sleep you’re getting and the quality of it. That could explain why you’re always feeling run-down
Boost your energy with some pre-workout carbs and/or caffeine
Research now shows that a 30–90-minute power nap can get you back in the game for more movement later in the day
Changing the scenery can help those who get bored looking at a computer or TV monitor on a treadmill
Pay more attention to recovery and strategically positioned rest days
A lack of energy could be directly attributed to not enough calories throughout the day
Cut yourself some slack, and allow yourself to be human. Don’t beat yourself up if you miss a day, but make it a point not to do that too often
