Robert Leroy Engstrom

Robert Leroy Engstrom, age 73, of Glasgow, Montana passed away on April 23, 2026.

Bob was born, January 13, 1953, to John and Mable (Senecal) Engstrom in Glasgow, Montana, the first of four boys. Bob grew up on the family farm southwest of Glasgow and together with his brothers ran wild on the South Bench. A favorite pastime was swimming and water skiing in the canal while being pulled behind the pickup. Bob worked on the farm, helping out where needed. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with friends in his spare time.

Bob attended school at St. Raphaels Catholic School through junior high and then graduated from Glasgow High School in 1971. He attended Montana State University, earning his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Production. His banking career started with his first job working for FHA. Bob worked for many years in the banking industry throughout Montana.

Bob married Dena Jo White on August 2, 1997, in Missoula. Together with Dena’s son, Taylor, they made their home in Great Falls. In February of 2000, he welcomed his one and only child, a daughter, Kati Jo. She was the light of his life until the very end. Bob and Dena later divorced.

Bob moved back to his hometown of Glasgow for the last few years of his life and died at Valley View Home.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father and is survived by his daughter, Kati (Jacob) Miller, grandson Lincoln, and brothers: Wade (Karen), Jeri (Tammie) and Jon, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private family celebration will be held this summer.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to FMDH staff as well as Valley View staff for the care Bob received in his final days.
