Our Beloved sister, auntie, cousin and grandmother Lydia Louise Long Hair Porcupine Quills went to be with the Lord on May 31, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana, surrounded by her family.

Lydia was born on August 31, 1947, to Johnson Long Hair Porcupine Quills and Ursula Black Dog in Poplar, Montana. She attended Brockton School until the 8th Grade then quit to take care of their mother as she fell sick. When Lydia got older she was a cook for a period of time at the Brockton School.

In 1975 in the month of September Lydia was blessed with her first child, a son Wesley Long Hair then three years later, a daughter Natalie Long Hair. Lydia was a family oriented person who enjoyed life to fullest and loved being with her family especially her children and all her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Her many talents included quilting, beading, and baking. She always loved participating in the Fort Kipp Celebration fundraisers and any other fundraisers or events she was asked to partake in.
