A new survey by ScoopWhoop reveals that men fall in love almost twice as fast as women. Other findings:

- it takes about four weeks for men to fall in love

- it takes about eight weeks for women to fall in love

- Men fall in love 2.6 times in life while women do it  2.3 times

- 39% of people didn’t fall in love until they were already dating

A new survey by Artisan Bakery reveals that parents spend 432 hours a year on meal planning and prep. Other findings:

- each week, the average parent spends … 3 hours meal planning, 3 hours grocery shopping, 2 hours packing lunches and 4 hours cooking

- 71% of parents say their kids are picky eaters

- only 68% of packed school lunches are eaten while 32% wasted

- 74% of parents are more ingredient-conscious when grocery shopping

- 80% of parents call sandwiches a "lunchbox hero".

Allrecipes says Mountain Dew recently announced an exclusive Baja Leo flavor for its 22nd birthday. The flavor blends spiced mango, chili lime, and black pepper. It will be sold starting Wednesday.  This limited edition drink is expected to sell out quickly.

Pepsi is stepping out of the soda aisle and directly into your shower. The company teamed up with beauty brand Glamlite to create its first-ever body care collection, turning two of their soda flavors into skin products — Vanilla Slushie Body Scrub and Wild Cherry Body Wash. It seems like this is a real deal, as they supposedly spent five years tweaking over 3000 fragrances to get this right. And if this is a success, the partnership won’t stop here. A Pepsi-inspired makeup collection is already in the works.

The NY Post says a French-Swiss research team recently tested a smart bra in France. It screens for early signs of breast cancer using thermal sensors and AI to track heat in breast tissue.  It is worn for 30 minutes. Researchers say it could help between doctor visits, but won't replace mammograms.

A TSA rule is leaving kids in tears at airport security checkpoints.
TSA officers are taking their NeeDoh squishy toys from carry-ons during screenings because they’re filled with gel and have to be 3.4-ounces or less to be allowed through.
The problem is most parents aren’t aware of the rule, so they don’t know to pack the NeeDohs in their checked luggage so they’re not taken away.

Engineers at MIT have built a $300 flapping robot that can fly through the air and swim underwater, a lot like diving birds. Weighing in at just under 9 ounces, the Flapping Aerial-Aquatic Vehicle (FAAV)  features water-repellent nylon wings and hits top speeds of over 13 miles per hour in the air and nearly 2.2 miles per hour in the water. The big idea of the engineers was to create a budget-friendly way for scientists to monitor oceans and collect samples in hard-to-reach areas.

UPI says a diver and underwater photographer  from Belgium, named Stefan Panis, recently  found a 162-year-old bottle of Guinness off the coast of Dover, England. The bottle is dated 1864.   Stefan rinsed the bottle and said it came from a case of 24. Scientists are looking into  whether they can recreate the beer.   Upside-down storage may have kept seawater out.  Panis says, "There is a possibility that it's still drinkable."

UPI says an Indian woman recently set a new Guinness World Record for the world’s longest hair. Renu Dhariyal, a content creator who shares beauty tips on YouTube, has locks that measure 8 feet 10 inches. She has not cut her hair since 2015. Rebu took the title from Ukrainian Aliia Nasyrova, whose hair was 8 feet 5.3 inches long.

Guessing Headlights says thieves are stealing AC units because of this Summer’s extreme heat. An Atlanta, Georgia man was recently targeted when thieves pulled his unit into his driveway and stole it.  The theft happened in broad daylight and took under seven minutes.  Security cages cost about $800 and can slow thieves.  Police are still looking for the suspects.

Guessing Headlights says a Pinal County, Arizona man was recently stopped for going 69 mph in a 45 mph speed zone.  The driver handed over a fishing license instead of his driver’s license. The deputy said, “That’s a fishing license. It allows you to harvest a delicious bass.” The deputy issued tickets for speeding and for missing proof of insurance.
