Sarah Swanson Elected Chair-Elect of National Association of State Workforce Agencies

Montana Depatment of Labor and Industry:

Congratulations to the 2026-27 National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) Board of Directors Executive Committee - and especially our own DLI Commissioner, Sarah Swanson, on her election as NASWA Chair-Elect!

NASWA brings together state workforce agencies from across the country to strengthen employment services, workforce development, unemployment insurance, labor-market information and other programs that connect people with good jobs and help employers find the talent they need.

Commissioner Swanson’s national leadership role gives Montana an important voice in conversations shaping workforce policy and practice. As Chair-Elect, she will help guide collaboration among state workforce leaders while bringing Montana’s experience, priorities and commitment to strong communities and employers to the national stage!

Congratulations to Commissioner Swanson and all of the incoming NASWA leaders. We’re proud to see Montana represented in this important work!
