Keep the pup out of the produce aisle … Americans love their pets, but maybe not everywhere. According to a new Talker Research survey, restaurants top the list of places people don't want to see dogs, with nearly half saying they'd be annoyed by a pet while they're eating. Grocery stores, doctor's offices, coffee shops, workplaces,  and even airplanes also made the "leave the dog at home" list. Older Americans were generally less tolerant of pets in public than younger generations.

According to the survey, these are the Top 10 Places You Shouldn’t Bring Your Pet:

Restaurants — 48%

Grocery stores — 45%

Doctor offices/hospitals — 39%

Coffee shops — 32%

Workplaces/office spaces — 29%

Airplanes — 27%

Arenas/stadiums — 26%

Public transit — 22%

Hotels — 18%

Public beaches — 18%

The Daily Mail says Emmy nominees, presenters, and performers received gift bags last night worth more than $27,000.  The bags included Swarovski-encrusted Motorola earbuds, a titanium smart ring, a gift certificate to Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center,  a HydroJug, a Couture blanket, toys, candy, supplements, Alaskan seafood, and products from brands including RoC Skincare, Garnier, Essie, and Dove.The most expensive item was a $10,000 privacy concierge service

ABC says some iPhone users may notice faster battery drain and more heat after installing the phone's latest operating system update. Apple says that effect is normal because the phone is working in the background indexing data and files, downloading new assets, and updating apps. That work can continue for several days. Some users may have to remove photos or text messages to make room for the update

DW says workers are now hiring companies to help them leave their jobs so they don't have to directly speak to their employer. 'Resignation' services cost around $140. The process can be completed in about 15 minutes. Most of the clients are young professionals working in service jobs and manufacturing.  Some want to avoid workplace conflict and may have trouble quitting in person. Employees who want to disappear are advised to clear their desks, while goodbye messages and thanks are delivered on their behalf.

Pumpkin spice season may have only started, but it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. A new survey finds that 34% of consumers have already started, or plan to start, their holiday shopping before November, and nearly 1 in 10 began before September even arrived. 25% say they started their holiday shopping early to spread the cost across several paychecks, a strategy that's especially popular with parents. Another 10% say they got a head start to stay ahead of rising prices and potential tariff-related increases. Younger shoppers are leading that trend, with 14% of Gen Z and 11% of Millennials shopping early for that reason, compared to 8% of Gen X and just 4% of Boomers.

If you've ever looked at a triple cheeseburger and thought, "Needs six more patties," Wendy's has answered your call. The chain's legendary T-Rex Burger has resurfaced at a franchise in Edmond, Oklahoma, featuring a jaw-dropping nine beef patties, nine slices of cheese, and all the usual toppings stacked into one towering sandwich.  The burger costs $30, and the location is even challenging customers to finish it in nine minutes for a special prize and a T-shirt. The massive burger has a cult following and a weird history. It reportedly started as a joke years ago before becoming an unofficial secret-menu favorite. Online reactions range from "I could destroy that" to "The prize is a cardiologist's business card."

The Daily Beast says a woman was recently arrested after stripping naked in front of passengers on an American Airlines flight from Baltimore to Miami. Aviation incident logs described her behavior as “indecent.” The plane was not diverted.  Police met the woman at the gate and took her into custody.

Villagers in northern India allegedly tied a phone technician to a mobile tower after becoming angry about poor 5G service that had lasted nearly two years. Technician Aditya Bhan Singh had been sent to work on the tower when villagers confronted him, bound him with cables, and reportedly threatened to keep him there until the network problem was fixed. He was eventually released, and police later charged five people with unlawful confinement and disturbing public order
