General Election Absentee Ballots Mailed Out October 9th

Valley County voters who cast their ballots by mail can expect those ballots to begin arriving in their mailboxes later this month.

Under Montana law, absentee ballots for the November 3rd General Election must be mailed to registered absentee voters beginning 25 days before Election Day. This year, that mailing date falls on Friday, October 9th.

According to county election information, Valley County voters who are already registered to vote absentee should receive their ballots within several days after they're mailed. Voters who do not receive a ballot, or who need a replacement, can contact the Valley County Election Office for assistance.

Election officials say voters who are not currently signed up for absentee voting may still request a mail ballot in person at the county election office during the absentee voting period.

The most recent election data show Valley County has more than 5,200 registered voters, although officials have not yet released the exact number of absentee ballots expected to be mailed for the general election.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd.
