Robert Weber Honored With Award

Glasgow Police Officer Robert Weber received the Life Saving Award from the Montana Association of Chiefs of Police during their annual meeting in Kalispell.

Weber was honored for his quick actions on November 4th, 2008 when he helped save the life of a toddler who almost drowned in the bathtub. Weber was one of the first people on the scene after the 911 call.

He examined the child and gave her chest compressions that helped her expel water and begin to breathe. He then took the child and an EMT to the emergency room in his patrol car because the ambulance was not yet en route.

The Life Saver award is only presented to law enforcement officers and he was honored on July 16th in Kalispell.

At that same meeting, Glasgow Police Lt. Brien Gault was selected to be a board member of the Montana Association of Chiefs of Police, representing eastern Montana.
