Severe Thunderstorm Rocks Glasgow

A severe thunderstorm hit Glasgow on Friday evening: according to a Facebook post from Glasgow NWS employee Brian Burleson, unofficially, the storm dropped 1.93 inches of rain in around 45 minutes.
Hail also was reported (hail photo courtesy Arlene Archambeault). Many people were dealing with water in their basements after the deluge, and the underpass was obviously closed.
A record rainfall of 1.89 inches was set at Glasgow, MT on July 3. It broke the old record for July 3 of 1.02 inches set in 2000.
It was the 4th wettest July day on record and the wettest July day since July 11, 1975, when 2.36 inches of rain fell.
