Scotties Fall To Rams In First Round Playoff Game

The Red Lodge Rams used a fast start and a strong finish to top Glasgow in first-round playoff football action Friday night, winning 55-33. A long kickoff return set up the first Rams touchdown, and they followed with an 88-yard TD to go up 14-0 on the Scotties.

Glasgow then marched down the field on their second drive, with Cade Hudyma throwing a TD pass to Tayven Bietz. Red Lodge would score again, but Glasgow would answer on a Liam Chapman 79-yard TD run to make it 21-13. Glasgow cut into the lead again on a 17-yard rushing TD from Cody Kuka; the 2-point conversion failed, making it 21-19. The Rams would add one more score to finish the half with a 27-19 lead.

The Scotties tied the game in the third, outscoring the Rams 14-6, on a 1-yard TD run from Kuka and a pick-six interception from Cade Hudyma.

The final frame would be all Rams, though, as they scored 22 points to pull away for the 55-33 victory. Glasgow finishes the season at 7-3; Red Lodge will move on to play Manhattan next Friday night.
