Forget hot dogs, chicken tenders and nachos, at the FIFA World Cup stadiums, the menus are not your average concessions. Instead they’re serving up outrageous, extravagant eats, with many inspired by host cities’ local food culture.
These are some of the wildest stadium foods soccer fans can chow down on at the World Cup
Miami: caviar-topped tots and a five-pound empanada - Hard Rock Stadium is going all out with $75 “Fancy AF Tots” that are deep fried hash brown patties topped with caviar, crème fraîche, and chives, as well as an enormous five-pound empanada.
Kansas City: 17-hour smoked short rib pastrami - The city’s signature BBQ is the star of this smoked pastrami sandwich made with a 15-day brine and 17-hour smoked bone-in short rib that’s deboned and served on a soccer ball pretzel bun with three-mustard barbecue sauce and crispy house-fried onions.
Los Angeles: Twinkie cheeseburger - There’s not actually a dessert Twinkie in this burger at SoFi Stadium, but it is topped with a Texas Twinkie, which is a bacon-wrapped jalapeño stuffed with brisket and cream cheese.
San Francisco: The Bayritto Dog - Blending the city’s signature Mission-style burritos with classic stadium fare, it’s a footlong hot dog pressed in a flour tortilla with beef birria, spicy refried beans, shredded cheese and all the sauces.
Boston: A massive lobster roll - The city is known for its enormous stuffed lobster rolls and this one is stuffed with heavy mayo, lemon, toasted celery seed, and fresh claw and knuckle meat.
New York/New Jersey: The elote lobster roll & Colombian hot dog - Their spin on the coastal classic is loaded with lobster meat, corn elote, fresh cilantro and Tajin on a toasted Martin’s bun. And the sweet and salty Colombian hot dog is stacked with charred pineapple salsa, ketchup, mayo and crispy potato sticks.
Atlanta: Oxtail egg rolls and Dirty Bird Wings - Inspired by the Southern city’s culinary culture, these egg rolls are filled with braised oxtail, sauteed peppers and onions, and jerk aioli, with a side of plantain chips.

As we drag ourselves into work after the long holiday weekend, a new survey looks at what workers would want their modern-day dream job to include. It turns out, most of the things people associate with a dream job are pretty simple. Topping the list? Flexible hours.
According to the poll of 2-thousand employed adults, job security comes in second, followed by coworkers that they actually get along with.
When considering a new job, a third of workers say they want one that aligns with their values and 30% say having human connection in the workplace is a priority.
For a quarter of respondents, the opportunity to use hands-on, practical skills is one of the most appealing parts of a career.
Another 25% have been inspired to change careers after seeing someone else make the move on social media.
Nearly half (48%) say social media has made it easier to find new careers they didn’t even know existed.
Over a third (38%) believe it’s now more acceptable to change careers than it used to be and 51% say people should feel free to pursue any job they want regardless of gender.
But 32% admit there’s still work to be done to challenge stereotypes about “men’s” and “women’s” jobs.
Just over half (51%) of women polled say they’d consider a job with a lower salary if it came with a strong sense of purpose and 79% say they want a job where they’ll make a positive difference.
