2026 Valley County Community Foundation Grant Awards

The Valley County Community Foundation was established in 2000 with the forethought to create an endowment to service the community of Valley County by providing capital funds for projects related to arts and culture, basic human needs, economic development, education, and natural resources and conservation.  Over the last 26 years, over $530,000 has been given back in the form of grants to improve our communities where we live and raise our families.

It is with great pleasure to announce the 2026 Valley County Community Foundation’s annual grant application winners, totaling $48,805 to 14 recipients.

  • Fort Peck Fine Arts Council to update the stage lighting system for performances.
  • Glasgow Cal Ripken Baseball to upgrade concessions equipment, including a new refrigerator, freezer and cooking equipment.
  • Glasgow Boy Scout Troop to upgrade to a commercial refrigerator at their fair food booth.
  • Glasgow Rodeo Club to repair and improve the crow’s nest at the Valley County Fairgrounds.
  • Glasgow High School Drama Productions for their updated stage lighting project in the GHS Auditorium.
  • Hinsdale Public Schools to purchase supplies for their summer reading program.

In addition to the grants given through the earnings of the VCCF endowment, the VCCF also awarded an additional $5,500 grant from the Montana Community Foundation’s LFC+ Incentive Program. VCCF has committed to growing our unrestricted endowed assets for the next four years at a suggested goal amount. In return, MCF will send us additional funds for our annual grant program. This additional grant has been awarded to the NEMT Air Ambulance for the updated training mannequin with a Smart TruMan Trauma Adult Simulator, which not only will benefit the residents of Valley County but all the residents in Eastern Montana where STAT Air/NEMT Air Ambulance provides medical health services.

Non-profit organizations with 501 (c) (3) tax status, educational institutions, and government entities, all within Valley County, are welcome to apply for grants. Applications for the annual grants are available in January and due March 31st annually. For information or to donate to the endowment, visit www.valleycountycf.net.
