Ice Dawgs Are State Champs Again

The Glasgow Ice Dawg high school team were in Miles City this past weekend for their 
state tournament. The Ice Dawgs ended the weekend as the State Champions! The 
tournament started on Thursday, March 5th and finished on Sunday, March 8th.  
Thursday night Glasgow played the Helena Bighorns. The Ice Dawgs won that game 
4-3. Brody Hansen with a hat trick and Tavin Boland with the other goal. Jacob Potter 
saw 43 shots saving 40 with a .93 save percentage. Glasgow had 43 shots on the 
Helena goalie. 
 
Friday Glasgow played against Butte and Missoula. The Ice Dawgs beat Butte with a 
score of 6-2 and tied with Missoula, 1-1. 
 
Against Butte, Boland had 2 goals, Hansen had 1, Charlie Cornwell had 2 goals, and 
Jack Miller with 1. Potter saw 41 shots saving 39 giving him a .95 save percentage. 
Glasgow shot 50 times on the Butte goalie. 
 
Against Missoula, Jack Miller scored the only goal Glasgow had. Potter saw 27 shots 
saving 26, giving him a .96 save percentage. Glasgow had 34 shots on the Missoula 
goalie. 
 
Glasgow ended the pool play as the 1st seed in the blue pool. That put them in the 
Saturday crossover game against Bozeman. Glasgow beat Bozeman with a score of 
8-1. Boland with 2 goals, Cornwell with 1 goal, Hansen with 1 goal, Miller with 2 goals, 
Tay Morehouse with 1 goal, and Ian Anderson with 1 goal. Potter saw 31 shots saving 
30 giving him a .967 save percentage. Glasgow had 39 shots on the Bozeman goalie.  
With the win over Bozeman that put the Ice Dawgs in the Championship Game!  
On Sunday, the Glasgow Ice Dawgs faced off against the Missoula Bruins. It was a 
great defensive game. Glasgow came out on top with the 2-1 win over the Bruins. Tavin 
Boland and Brody Hansen both scored 1 for the Ice Dawgs! Jacob Potter saw 40 shots 
saving 39 giving him a .975 save percentage. Glasgow had 39 shots on the Missoula 
goalie.  
 
The Glasgow Ice Dawgs have now won the MAHA State Title 3 years 
in a row!
