Glasgow Chamber Seeking Public Input on Needs, Concerns and Vision of Community

The Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture along with the Pilot Community Grant Steering committee is inviting residents, business owners, employees, and community stakeholders throughout Glasgow and Valley County to participate in a new community survey focused on local priorities, quality of life, recreation, business development, and future community investment opportunities.

The survey is designed to help community leaders better understand the needs, concerns, and vision of the community while also gathering public feedback on three major projects included in the recently awarded Pilot Community Tourism Grant through the Montana Department of Commerce.

The proposed projects include:

  • Community Pavilion — estimated project cost of approximately $2,750,000
    • Football Field & Track Recharge Project — estimated project cost of approximately $3,000,000
    • Community Trail System — estimated project cost of approximately $10,000,000

Community feedback will play an important role in helping guide future planning efforts, evaluate community priorities, and better understand the potential impact these projects may have on residents, businesses, visitors, recreation opportunities, and overall quality of life in Valley County.  The grant money is designated for these 3 projects and cannot be used for other projects.

“We want to hear directly from the people who live and work here,” said Lisa Koski, Executive Director of the Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture. “This survey is an opportunity for community members to share their ideas, concerns, and priorities as we continue planning for the future of Glasgow and Valley County.”

Participants are encouraged to include their email address when completing the survey to be entered into a drawing for Chamber Big Bucks. One $100 Chamber Big Bucks prize will be awarded for every 100 complete surveys received.

The Chamber encourages all residents and stakeholders to participate and help shape the future direction of the community.

For additional information or questions regarding the survey, please contact the Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture at (406) 228-2222. For those that want to fill out paper copies they are currently available at the Glasgow Courier office and the Chamber office.  Surveys can also be accessed directly from our website landing page at www.glasgowchamber.net
