High winds caused damage, highway closures, and travel delays as they blew through on Thursday. The National Weather Service graphic is of the highest wind gusts recorded across the region as of 3 p.m. The highest gust was recorded on top of Judith Peak in Fergus County with 104 mph.
The top gust in Glasgow was 63 mph. Other peak gusts throughout northeast Montana included 74 mph at Fort Peck, 53 mph in Wolf Point, and just 44 mph in Lustre.
