Scotties Defeat Trojans At State B-C Softball Tournament

The Glasgow Scotties softball team defeated the Troy Trojans by a score of 8-1 in a loser-out contest at the State Class B-C Softball tournament in Billings on Thursday night. In a game that went late into the evening, Glasgow came up big in the second inning; as they would take a 4-1 lead, and never look back on their way to an 8-1 victory over Troy.

The Scotties would break a scoreless tie with an RBI double, off the bat of their star pitcher, Brynn Donaldson. Riley Pattison would then come into run for Donaldson, and score shortly thereafter on an RBI single off the bat of Tessa Stutheit. This would give the Sctties a 2-0 lead. They would score 2 more runs in that 4th inning, one run in the 5th inning, and 3 more insurance runs in the 6th inning to secure the victory. Brynn Donaldson had a tremndous game on the mound, as she struck out 15 Lady Trojans, only giving up 3 hits in the entire game. Glasgow offensively had 12 hits in the ball game.

Glasgow will move on to play Three Forks at 10:00 AM on Friday. That game will be broadcast on KLTZ.
