Scottie Girls Finish Second At District Meet

The Scottie girls were edged out by Malta at the District 2B Track and Field Meet in Fairview on Saturday, 132-131. That was the 21st top 2 finish in a row for the Scotties, and only the second time the girls haven't won the district since 2005. Individually, the Glasgow girls had 13 PB's, including Joely Chappell's 16' 11.5 Long Jump, which moves her up to a tie with Megan Daley for third on the Scottie record board, behind Marjie Connors and Liz Hahn. Joely ALSO moved to #9 on the board in the 200m, at 26.84. And, Mayzie Yoakam moved up to #5 on the board in the 100m hurdles, in 15.94.
