Glasgow Kiwanis Club Presents BUG Awards

The Glasgow Kiwanis Club recently presented BUG (Bring Up Grades) certificates to 15 students in grades 4 and 5 at the Irle School for those improving their grades between the second and third grading periods, and were presented certificates and served ice cream with toppings by Glasgow Builders Club students Brinlie Harris and Sam Thompson, assisted by Builders Club Advisors Laurie Enebo and Nicole Boos, and presented by Kiwanians Charles Wilson and Ben Wilson.

Eleven fourth grade students receiving awards were Kylah Aiken, Paisley Beer, Jax Braaten, Stella Fisher, Alexander Hawkins, Archer Henry, Corban Hystad (absent), Jack Kirkland, Torrin Schaaf, Oliver Turner and Gentry Waarvik.

Four fifth grade students receiving awards were Will Fuhrman, Lacey Lambert (absent), Ziva Mix (absent) and Tannen Riimimaki.

BUG is a worldwide program of Kiwanis International that many local Kiwanis Clubs adopt for their community, including many in Montana. Builders Club co-Advisor Mrs. Laurie Enebo took the pictures, and the certificates were printed by the Chamber of Commerce. Kiwanis is a community service organization affiliated with the Montana District of Kiwanis and Kiwanis International and also supports the Glasgow Kiwanis Swim Team, Scouting, 4-H club Awards, the recent Easter Egg hunt and many other projects. Anyone wishing to join Kiwanis can contact any member for more information or join us at a noon meeting for lunch at the Cottonwood Inn.
