Tim's News You Can't Use

Younger workers are getting attention — and praise — for something surprisingly simple: they’re actually taking a full, uninterrupted lunch break. And it’s making them better at their jobs. Instead of eating at their desks or skipping meals to power through, many are stepping away for an hour and completely disconnecting from work. For a lot of them, that means leaving their workspace, sitting down for an actual meal, and often spending that time with co-workers. It’s not just about food — it’s a real mental reset. By creating a clear break in the middle of the day, they come back more focused, refreshed, and able to work more effectively. It also helps build relationships at work. Instead of awkward after‑hours bonding, lunch becomes a low‑pressure way to connect, collaborate, and get to know colleagues.

United Press International says the Massachusetts Port Authority recently broke a Guinness World Record by creating the world's largest soccer ball. The massive ball was made in honor of the World Cup and measures a whopping 47.9 feet in diameter. It will be on display for the remainder of this week. Officials say the materials used to create the ball will be recycled.

We all know how companies everywhere are turning to artificial intelligence to save time, condense workforces, and boost efficiency. There’s something else that’s happening, though, and it’s anything but efficient. A new survey found that people do find that AI saves them around 11 hours each week, which boosts productivity. However, those same workers say they spend around six hours each week “bot-sitting,” double-checking that AI output to fix mistakes and then rerunning prompts.

Oddity Central says a Shanghai company, named Yueban, has invented a robotic toilet. The toilet has wheels.  It runs on AI  and has a self cleaning system, pressurized water jets and a UV light for sanitization purposes. Once used, the robot toilet heads to a docking station where it empties its contents. The $13,000 robotic toilet is designed for people with mobility issues although others may buy it because they are too lazy to get up and go to the bathroom themselves

With just a spoon and a bucket of honey in front of him, the video shows Ortolf shoveling the stuff into his face with an animalistic ferocity. For this feat, Ortolf gets notoriety and a hell of a sugar high.

A Florida man is facing new charges after allegedly trying to break into an RV -- while on his way to court for a previous burglary case. Police in Cape Coral say the 34‑year‑old suspect attempted to force his way into an occupied recreational vehicle, even disconnecting its power, before officers caught up with him nearby. When questioned, he told officers he was headed to a court appearance and looking for something to wear.  A search of his backpack also turned up methamphetamine, adding a drug possession charge to the case. He’s now facing multiple charges, including burglary of an occupied dwelling on top of his original case. (Guessing Headlights)
