Ever hit a pothole so hard you immediately turned down the music to listen for damage? If your commute feels more like an obstacle course than a drive, you might live in one of the cities on Pep Boys’ newly released “Worst Roads in America” list.

To come up with the ranking, Pep Boys analyzed nationwide service data to find where drivers most often needed alignment, suspension, and tire repairs.

Orlando, Florida, tops the list, followed by Chicago, Illinois; Panama City, Florida; and Lafayette, Indiana.

According to the study, a mix of bad roads, rough weather, and relentless traffic is a perfect recipe for car trouble.

Top 10 Metro Areas for Road-Related Repairs

Orlando, Florida

Chicago, Illinois

Panama City, Florida

Lafayette, Indiana

Tampa–St. Petersburg, Florida

West Palm Beach, Florida

Nashville, Tennessee

New Orleans, Louisiana

Tallahassee, Florida

Knoxville, Tennessee

The data shows how much local conditions can influence repair needs. In Orlando, constant construction and shifting soil keep drivers visiting their mechanics, while Chicago’s harsh winters and freeze–thaw cycles do a number on both the pavement and tires. To minimize the damage and avoid unexpected repair bills, Pep Boys recommends keeping up with tire checks, alignments, and suspension tune-ups, especially if you call one of these rough-road cities home. So if your car’s begging for another alignment, maybe it’s not your driving. Maybe it’s your city.

Tim's News You Can't Use

And then there were none. Not surprisingly, according to NCAA.com, there are zero perfect brackets floating around out there. The pain, heartbreak, and bracket busting started early -- even in the first round. The biggest blow to the most brackets was #12 High Point beating #5 Wisconsin. That upset alone wiped out 87% of brackets. Ouch. If there might have been any dangling perfect brackets hanging around, they must have disappeared when #9 Iowa beat #1 Florida, the reigning national champs, to advance to the Sweet 16.

Exercising in the morning is better for your health compared to later in the day according to new research. A study from the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School found those who exercised earlier in the morning were 31-percent less likely to have coronary artery disease, 18-percent less likely to have high blood pressure and 21-percent less likely to have high cholesterol than those who exercised later in the day. They also had a lower chance of getting diabetes or being obese. Researchers presented their findings at the American College of Cardiology after tracking heart rate data for a full year on thousands of people who exercised.

Seems hundreds of people are signing up to go on a cruise ... for 15 years. Villa Vie Residences’ Odyssey ship offers what they call the first “perpetual world cruise,” letting residents sail nonstop for 15 years while visiting 147 countries. Think of it as swapping your house for a floating neighborhood — complete with a spa, fitness center, pickleball courts, library, restaurants, on-site doctor, and even the freedom to decorate your own cabin. Prices range from about $129,999 for an inside villa up to $439,999 for a suite, plus monthly fees — a lot less than housing prices in most areas.  Founder Mikael Petterson says the idea is simple: what if “home” was wherever the ship docks next?

Peeps has come a long way from its classic yellow chick days, now churning out dozens of wild flavors and even teaming up with brands for unexpected treat collabs. A prime example is the return of the marshmallow-flavored Icee, which blends that signature sugary taste into a frozen drink you can grab at movie theaters, gas stations, and more. After last year’s debut had fans practically begging for more, the limited-edition slushie is back just in time for spring. If you’re curious (or just love a sweet brain freeze), you’ll want to track one down before it disappears again.

Robotic dogs are starting to show up at apartment complexes and construction sites across the Atlanta area, and they're already helping stop crime. The machines, made by Atlanta-based company Undaunted, are loaded with cameras and sensors and watched in real time by a human operator who can talk directly through the robot to anyone on the property. Undaunted says the service costs about half what a full-time human security guard would run.Source: WSBTV
