Glasgow Kiwanis Club Presents BUG Awards at Glasgow Middle School

The Glasgow Kiwanis Club recently presented Bring Up Grade (BUG) Certificates to 39 students at the Glasgow Middle School in grades 6, 7 and 8 to those students showing improvement between the second and third grading periods.

The purpose of BUG Honor Roll is to honor students who may not otherwise receive recognition for their efforts to improve.

Sixth grade students awarded BUG were Calix Greenough, Walker Kirkland and Jesslyn Watkins (Zayden Ambler was absent).

Seventh grade students awarded BUG were Anders Aune, Abygail Cole, Thomas Cotrell, Hunter Doty, (Olivia Gonzalez was absent), Joel Guttenberg, Vernon Hetrick, Garrett Hicks, Jake Hopstad, Camryn Kemmis, Molly Miller, Newton Moala, Devon Munroe, Rico Reyes, Kolbi Staggenborg, Tya Stebleton, Shirley Thompson, Aubrey Williams, Campbell Youngman and George Zumbuhl.

Eighth grade students awarded BUG were Haleigh Baldwin, Greyson Beadle (Leighton Chapman was absent), Chloe Elliott, (Aubrey Fourstar was absent), Wynn Green, Myracle Henry, Colt Hudyma, Addison Hughes, Harry Murphy, Riley Pattison, Liam Renner, Walker Sugg, Garris Tolzien and Ada Weber.

They were presented by Charles Wilson, Ben Wilson and Brenner Flaten from Kiwanis assisted by Principal Mike Zoanni. The Kiwanis provided ice cream, served by Builders Club student Gwen Turner and Key Club students Bridger Wesley, Kyler Whitman, Hannah Holinde, and Aspen Probert. Builders Club co-Advisor Mrs. Laurie Enebo took the pictures, and the certificates were printed by the Chamber of Commerce. Kiwanis is a community service organization affiliated with the Montana District of Kiwanis and Kiwanis International that sponsors the High School Key Club, the Middle School Builders Club, and also supports the Swim Team, Scouting, 4-H, Easter Egg hunt and many other projects.
