Hunter education field day for online students offered in Glasgow
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is offering a field day for students ages 12-17 who have completed an online hunter education course. The field day will take place on Friday, September 18, from 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the FWP Region 6 Headquarters in Glasgow. The online course for hunter education (course fees apply) needs to be completed before signing up and attending the field day. Students aged 18 and over are not required to attend a field day but are welcome to if space allows.
The field course will consist of firearm identification, safe firearm handling (including loading and unloading dummy ammunition), shot selection, shoot-don’t shoot situations, and depending on weather and other factors, shooting positions, bear awareness, taking care of game, blood trailing, and more.
