Glasgow High School Students Excel at State Music Festival

Glasgow High School State Music Festival Report:

We had an amazing two days of State Music Festival. Our students got to experience at least 6 different accomplished music professionals that adjudicated their events and taught them valuable techniques and skills to help them with their voices (and piano, for our one piano soloist) and musicianship.

It was an incredible experience for them to overcome their nerves and be vulnerable in front of their peers, other audience members and these amazing adjudicators. They really did our community and school proud.

On Friday, Arts Without Boundaries put on a fun night for the students. They started with a dinner and dance lessons and then they got to enjoy putting those lessons to use as they danced the night away to the music of The Hanger Band, a local jazz/big band group. The kids had so much fun dancing and making new friends with students from other music programs from all around the eastern side of the state.
Mrs. Smith and I are very proud of these students and the hard work they put into each and every performance.
