County Portion of Primary Election Cancelled

From Valley County Election Administrator:

The Valley County portion of the Primary Election has been cancelled:

After the close of the candidate filing period and subsequent review of the ballot, it has been determined that no county offices have contested races requiring placement on the primary election ballot. In accordance with applicable election laws and administrative procedures, when no contests exist for county offices in the primary, the county portion of the election may be cancelled.

Please note that this cancellation applies only to county races. Any federal, state, or other jurisdictions’ races or ballot issues scheduled for the primary election will proceed as required unless otherwise directed by the appropriate authority.

Our office will continue to coordinate with the state and other relevant entities to ensure all statutory requirements are met and that proper notice is provided to the public.
