Garcia Convicted of Sexual Intercourse without Consent

From Glasgow Police Department:

On April 9, 2026, Sean Michael Garcia was convicted of Sexual Intercourse without Consent of a Minor under 16 Years Old. He has yet to be sentenced. Punishment in a case such as this carries a term no less than 4 years and up to 100 years in prison; fines no more than $50,000. Garcia was released on conditions until his sentencing.

This case stemmed from an investigation by the Glasgow Police Department in early 2023. The case was originally turned over to the Valley County Attorney’s Office requesting prosecution of Garcia. The Valley County Attorney's Office declined prosecution at that time and later the case was turned over to the Montana Attorney General’s Office. The victim in this case began discussing more details and eventually reinterviewed by the Glasgow Police Department in late 2025.

With the successful prosecution by the Attorney's Generals Office, justice will be served on Garcia. The Glasgow Police Department, Victim Witness Specialist Program, the Glasgow School System, Child and Family Service and the Attorney General's Office all worked together to serve justice in this case. Thank you team for all that you do to protect victims in our community.
