Cape Air Essential Air Service Ridership

The Montana Department of Transportation is reporting that ridership on Cape Air Airlines for the first three months is 1,156. This compares to 1,195 riders in 2025 through the first three months. Ridership is down 3.3% compared to last year.

Other Essential Air Service Communities compared to last year:

Glendive down 17%

Havre down 9.8%

Sidney down 4.7%

Wolf Point up 6.5%

The Essential Air Program costs $627 million nationally according to the Department of Transportation. 

Cape Air receives a subsidy of $2.86 million to provide passenger air service to Glasgow.
