The Glasgow School District and the Glasgow Education Association have reached an agreement on an increase in pay for the 2026-2027 school year. The GEA opened up the salary portion of the contract earlier this year and negotiations have been ongoing for several months.
The School District and the GEA agreed on a 1.75% increase in pay plus a $500 bonus and a reduction in Friday work days from 14 to 12. This will decrease the work hours required under the contract by 13 hours to 1,313 annualy. The pay increase will be paid retroactively from the beginning of the school year.
The contract will run through June 30th of 2027 and negotiations on a new contract will begin next year.
In another note from the Glasgow School District, K-12 enrollment is down 30 students from last year at this time. At the end of August, enrollment was 729 compared to 759 last year.
