In a back and forth, tightly contested, semifinal game from the Northern B Divisional Boys' Basketball Tournament in Malta, the Poplar Indians prevailed over the Glasgow Scotties by a score of 71-66. With the loss, Glasgow will face Chinook in a loser out game,on Saturday morning at 9:30 AM. Poplar will advance to the Northern B Divisional Championship game at 8:00 PM on Saturday night. They will play the winner of the Malta vs. Fairview Semifinal game.

Glasgow defeated Chinook in a tightly contested thriller, in a loser-out game at the Northern B Divisional Boys' basketball tournament in Malta on Saturday morning. The Scotties had to come from behind, as they were down by 9 points at one point early in the second half. Then, with the score tied at 56-56 late in the 4th quarter, Wyatt Babb hit a clutch three point shot to give Glasgow the 59-56 lead. Chinook would answer with a 3 of their own to tie it at 59-59. Cade Hudyma would then score once again to give Glasgow the 61-59 lead, and they would hold on to win it by that score. Glasgow will advance to the Consolation game on Saturday night where they will face Malta.

Malta defeated Fairfield in a loser-out game at the Northern B Boys' Divisional Basketball Tournament in Malta on Saturday. Malta trailed by 12 at the half, but would go on a big run in the 3rd quarter, as they outscored Fairfield 21-8 in that third quarter on their way to the 3 point victory. Malta was led in scoring by Bohdi Brenden who finished with 30 points, to lead all scorers. Fairfield was led by Deron Lear, who finished the contest with 22, while Reed Von Stein chipped in 11.
