About Us
KLTZ radio was founded in Glasgow, Montana by W.L. Bill Holter, and licensed in 1954. The call sign was chosen for its Scottish theme as a salute to the town's namesake: Glasgow, Scotland. (Reading KLTZ as a word sounds like kilts)
Mix-93, its sister station, first started airing content in 1983. Its call letters, KLAN, were chosen as an ode to the Scottish people. The word clan means common kinship, family and friendship. Since the FCC deems that stations west of the Mississippi River start with the letter K, the call sign was made to match.
