With the win, Poplar advances to the semifinal round where they will face the Malta Mustangs at 6:30 on Friday night. Glasgow will play next in a loser-out contest on Friday at 8:00. They will play the loser of the Wolf Point vs. Harlem contest.

The game was close at the half, but the Mustangs pulled away in the second half to bring home the 72-52 victory, and punch their ticket to the championship game, where they will face Harlem. Poplar will play in the consolation game tomorrow night at 5:00, and will face the winner of the Glasgow vs. Wolf Point contest.

In an absolute thriller, Glasgow defeated Wolf Point in a loser-out contest at the 2B District boys' basketball tournament in Glasgow on Friday night. With Glasgow holding a 51-50 lead, Wolf Point's Kraven Silk hit a 3 pointer to give the Wolves a 1 point lead. Glasgow's Bergen Miller was fouled with .4 seconds left, while in the act of shooting a 3 pointer, and proceeded to make all 3 free throws to give Glasgow the 1 point victory. Glasgow will advance to the consolation round tomorrow at 6:30, where they will get a rematch with Poplar, who defeated the Scotties in the opening round of the tournament.
