Someone has been throwing hot dogs at houses in Newcastle, Wyoming, leaving residents with an unusual mess. Jan Elliott was resting on her couch on October 11th when something smacked the window above her head hard enough to shake the glass. Her family looked outside and eventually found a hot dog in the window well. Elliott says a police dispatcher told her other homes had been targeted, though police did not confirm the number of reports. Neighbors soon began joking online about the mystery throwers, with one asking for ketchup and mustard if they reached his house. Others worried the hot dogs could harm pets, but there’s no sign they contained anything dangerous. Elliott found an empty package outside her house the morning after the wiener attack, but whoever was behind the flying franks has not been identified.

A Portsmouth, New Hampshire, man was arrested twice for impaired driving within about three hours, police say. Twenty-five-year-old Michael Stiles first allegedly crashed into a parked police cruiser with an officer inside. The officer wasn’t hurt, but the cruiser had to be towed.
