Tasting Table says many types of leftover Halloween candy can keep for several months in an airtight container stored in a cool pantry. Wrap dark chocolate in foil. Wrap caramels, taffies and nougats individually in cellophane, and keep candies with different moisture levels separate. Candy shelf life generally ranges from six to 12 months. Hard candies can last up to a year. Freezing is also an option, but may not extend shelf life.

Two For Tuesday - HEY THERE DELILAH    PLAIN WHITE T'S,    LOLO

#1 in 2005
Delilah is Delilah DiCrescenzo, a steeplechase runner Plain White T's lead singer who Tom Higgenson met through a friend. He thought she was the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen.

"I was like, 'Well, all right, I've got to write a song for this girl,'" he told Songfacts. "I literally started playing it. The first verse just poured out exactly as it is, all the way through to the chorus. I didn't really know the girl, you know? So, it was like, 'What's it like in New York City? Tonight, you look so pretty'"

Higgenson didn't get the girl - Delilah was dating somebody and wasn't interested - but he did get a hit song out of the encounter.
This was nominated for Grammy Awards for Song Of The Year and Best Pop Performance By A Duo or Group. Delilah DiCrescenzo attended the ceremony as Tom Higgenson's date on February 10, 2008. The song didn't win, and while it was technically their first date, Delilah made it clear that it was strictly platonic and was still seeing her boyfriend.

Singer LØLØ (Lauren Mandel) teamed up with Plain White T’s frontman Tom Higgenson to release an official response song to the 2005 hit "Hey There Delilah".

Phrases Your Grandparents Used That Are Disappearing Fast

As generations pass, so do the catchy phrases they once held dear. Here are eight phrases that were once popular with your older parents or grandparents but now appear to be destined to be the language of the past.

The bee’s knees
Now you’re cooking with gas
No comments from the peanut gallery
Mind your P’s and Q’s
Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades
Don’t get your knickers in a twist (can be substituted with “panties in a bunch”)
Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire
You make a better door than a window
What’s another phrase that you believe can’t go away soon enough?
