Knights of Columbus Fish Fry Fridays
The Knights of Columbus Fish Fry Fridays are back this Friday the 20th through March 27th. Serving will be from 5 - 6:30p.m. at St. Raphael’s Parish Center. Cost is $18 for adults, $15 for kids between 6-12, kids 5 & under eat free with take-outs available. Be sure to stop by St. Raphael’s Parish Center this Lent & enjoy some delicious fish, brought to you by the Knights of Columbus!
Hi-Line Sportsmen Dinner
The Hi-Line Sportsmen will have their annual fundraising dinner Sat. Feb. 21st at St. Raphael’s Parish Center gymnasium. Doors open at 4:30p.m. for drinks & games, & a prime rib dinner with all the trimmings will be served at 6p.m. Nearly a dozen rifles, shotguns, & handguns will be auctioned or raffled over the course of the evening. Tickets for the banquet cost $50 per seat. Businesses or groups of friends can reserve $500 tables that seat 8 & come with premium table gifts. Nashua Lions Club Sunday Skating
Nashua Lions Club roller skating is Sundays at the Nashua Civic Center from 1 – 3p.m. Prices remain the same, $5 – which includes skates, games, a drink & a bag of popcorn.
Nashua Senior Citizen's Morning Coffee
The Nashua Senior Citizens Center is open Monday through Friday beginning at 6:30a.m. They will be serving coffee for those early risers. Free will-offerings will be accepted. Valley County Annual Child Find Screening
The Valley County Comprehensive Child Find Screening will be held February 23- 24 at the First Lutheran Church in Glasgow from 9a.m. - 12noon & 1 - 3p.m.
The screening is for all children from birth to school entry age. The purpose of this screening is to find children who may need special help & Irle School kindergarten registration.
The screening assessments include the following areas:
Hearing for children of all ages
Speech for children 3-years old & older.
Gross/Fine Motor Development
Concept Development
Each appointment will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. To make an appointment for the Child Find Screening please visit the Irle Elementary Facebook Page or the Glasgow Schools Website. The Valley County Health Department will be giving immunizations by appointment. Please call the VCHD in advance to make an appointment for your child's required school-entry immunizations at 406-228-6261 (Open 7:30a.m. - 6p.m. M-Th)
It is mandated that children entering kindergarten have these immunizations prior to the start of school. Please bring your child’s immunization record & insurance card to the health department. No one will be turned away due to the inability to pay.
**ALL children who will be entering kindergarten in the Glasgow School District this fall are required to attend child find screening/registration. Glasgow Kindergarten students only: Kindergarten Registration can be completed at Child Find on laptops provided.
VFW Monthly Steak Fry
The VFW will hold their monthly Steak Fry, Fri. Feb. 27th. The Scouts will be your servers from 5 - 7p.m. Come & enjoy the best steak dinner in town - the public is welcome & the price per person is $25.
WSC Welding Program Trailer Raffle
Williston State College is holding the annual WSC Welding Program Trailer Raffle. This year’s raffle features 2 high-quality trailers, fabricated from the ground up by WSC welding students as part of their hands-on training: 10’x 6’4” utility tilt trailer with a 3500-pound capacity & 12’ x 6’6” utility trailer with a 5200-pound capacity. Tickets are $25 each, with proceeds going directly back into the Welding Program to support instructional materials & class activities. Purchasing a ticket is not considered a charitable donation. The raffle drawing will take place May 11th at 12p.m. Winners do not need to be present to win. To purchase raffle tickets, individuals may call Tim Delorme directly at 701-774-4272. Tickets are available for a limited time.
Valley County Transit/Valley County Council on Aging 3 day/2-night trip to 4-Bears Casino
Valley County Transit & Valley County Council on Aging have planned a 3 day/2-night trip to 4-Bears Casino in New Town, ND April 15th - 17th. The cost per person is $235 for double occupancy or $300 for single. Price includes transportation & motel room. The casino will provide promotional credits to each person. Reservations & payments for this trip are due by noon Tues. March 31st. Call Valley County Transit, 406-228-TRIP (8747) to reserve your seat. This trip is open to the public.
Lutefisk Dinner at First Lutheran Church
First Lutheran Church in Glasgow will have their Lutefisk Dinner Sun. March 8th, from 11a.m. - 1:30p.m. The menu includes Lutefisk, meatballs, mashed potatoes & gravy, coleslaw, lefse & orange sherbet for dessert. Tickets will be sold at the door, adults $20, students $10, children under 6 are free. Proceeds from this event will go towards First Lutheran Church general fund.
Northeastern Arts Network's Finale
The Northeastern Arts Network’s Big Sky Series finale will feature The McDades Tues. March 24th. The McDades’ Celtic-rooted music fuses the spontaneity of jazz improvisation & infectious global rhythms. The concert is at 7p.m., doors open at 6p.m., at the Glasgow High School auditorium, tickets available at the door, $20 adults, $18 seniors, $15 students.
