Tester racks up another $1.1 million in donations

HELENA, Mont. (AP) — U.S. Sen. Jon Tester is reporting that he raised another $1.1 million in the final three months of 2011 for his re-election campaign against Republican U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg.

Tester reported closing out 2011 with $3.8 million on hand in one of the nation's most closely watched and heated 2012 Senate battles.

ND Dems say Kelsch should give up chairmanship

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota House's Democratic leader says Mandan Republican Representative RaeAnn Kelsch should resign as chairwoman of the House Education Committee.

The state Tax Department recently filed a $304,000 lien against Kelsch because she didn't file state tax returns going back to 2004.
