Milk River Catfish Days This Weekend In Glasgow!

Kick off summer at the 8th Annual Milk River Catfish Days in downtown Glasgow, Montana, where the whole community comes together to celebrate life along the Milk River. This two-day festival features a full slate of family-friendly events, live music, great food, and plenty of small-town charm in the “Middle of Nowhere” that feels like the center of everything.

Anchoring the weekend is the legendary Milk River Catfish Classic, a night-time catfish tournament that draws a full field of teams to the river and packs downtown Glasgow for the high-energy midnight weigh-ins. Spectators line the streets to cheer on anglers as baskets of channel catfish are brought to the stage, creating a carnival atmosphere with cheers, lights, and the smell of great food in the air.

Earlier in the day, Catfish Days offers fun for every age, with events like the Catfish Crawl run/walk, a cornhole tournament, pancake breakfasts, and vendor and food booths set up throughout downtown. Whether you are lacing up for the 1-mile, 5K, or 10K Catfish Crawl, tossing bags in the street, or just browsing the booths with a cup of coffee, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

As the sun goes down, the festival shifts into full-on summer party mode with live music, street dances, and socializing that carries late into the evening while anglers work the Milk River. Visitors and locals alike come to reconnect with friends, support the fishermen, and soak up the unique blend of river culture and small-town hospitality that makes Milk River Catfish Days a signature Glasgow tradition.

Join us in Glasgow for Milk River Catfish Days and experience a weekend where great fishing, great people, and great fun all come together on the banks of the Milk. It is the perfect reason to visit, to come home, or to see for yourself why this little river town turns into one of Montana’s liveliest spots every first weekend in June.
