Wheatgrass Arts & Gallery Events
Wheatgrass Arts & Gallery will have an Acrylic Painting Class by Joseph Garcia for 4 consecutive Wednesdays beginning March 22nd & concluding April 12th. Classes are from 6 – 8p.m., cost is $100 will all supplies provided. They also have private Wheel Throwing Classes available by appointment. Call or stop in to the Art Gallery for more information or to sign up.
Strong People Sessions
Roubie Younkin, Valley County Extension Agent is offering a program targeting healthy living & building strength. “Strong People” combines aerobic activities with exercises to reduce the effects of arthritis. Healthy cooking tips & stress reduction are also a part of this healthy living program. Classes are ongoing Tuesdays & Thursdays at St. Raphael’s gym from 5:15 - 6:15pm. KC Fish Fry Friday
The Knights of Columbus Fish Fry will be each Friday at St. Raphael’s Gymnasium from 5 – 6:30p.m. Cost is $18 per adult, $15 for ages 5 – 12, kids under 5 eat free.
Lustre Schmeckfest
The 58th annual Lustre Schmeckfest will be held on Friday, March 24th, at Lustre Christian High School. Serving will be from 5-7 pm: come enjoy all-you-can-eat German smorgasbord, bake sale, entertainment, and live and online auction. Tickets are available at Lustre Christian High School, Bakers Jewelry in Glasgow, and Agland Hardware in Wolf Point.
VFW Monthly Steak Fry
The VFW will have their monthly Steak Fry this Friday, March 24th, from 5 - 7p.m. The Beavers 4H Club will be serving. The public is welcome.
Glasgow/Fort Peck Chapter of Walleyes Unlimited Annual Banquet
The Glasgow/Fort Peck Chapter of Walleyes Unlimited will have their annual banquet Sat. March 25th at the Glasgow Elks Club. Ticket prices are $35 for adults & $10 for children 12 & under. Seating is limited. To purchase tickets, contact Hayley Young, 406-853-0112.
Nashua Lions Club Spring Bazaar
The Nashua Lions Club Spring Bazaar was postponed due to the weather. The new date for the Spring Bazaar is Sat. May 6th from 9a.m. 0 4p.m. at the Nashua Civic Center.
The Jake Etchart Scholarship
The Jake Etchart Scholarship: Jake Etchart- grew up spending summers at Fort Peck Lake, with much of his time spent around the Fort Peck Theatre where his family was actively involved as volunteers. He loved watching his sisters, Alexa & Christen, perform on the Fort Peck stage. Jake's family & friends established a theatre scholarship fund in his memory which is invested within the Fort Peck Theatre Preservation Endowment of the Montana Community Foundation. The interest from this investment provides up to 2 scholarships per year for undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a career in the Fine Arts. To be eligible, applicants must have a history of volunteering, or participating in some program sponsored by the Fort Peck Fine Arts Council, & they must be at least a full time undergraduate at an accredited university with at least a 2.50 GPA. Priority will be given to undergraduate applicants. Visit www.fortpecktheatre.org for complete instructions & an application.
