Wednesday, March 17th 2010 The Children’s Museum will have their 2nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Beer-Pairing Dinner Wednesday, March 17th. The Durum restaurant will create a fabulous three-course dinner and the Missouri Breaks Brewery will provide three different flavors of their micro-brewed ale that will be paired with each course. The Social starts at 5pm, the dinner follows at 6. The cost is $90 per couple for Museum member, $100 per couple for non-members. Call the Museum to make reservations at 228-4386, space is limited.
Wednesday, March 17th 2010 The Glasgow Reds Baseball Program is sponsoring the NCAA Men’s Basketball Calcutta for the 2010 Final Four Wed. March 17th at the Glasgow Elks Club at 7p.m.; registration begins at 6:30p.m. There will be free chili for all buyers. Selling 64 teams; 13th & 16th seeds sell as 1 team & 14th & 15th seeds sell as 1 team; there are numerous ways to win; pays out to 32 places, 80% payout. Everyone is invited to this exciting fundraiser for the Glasgow American Legion Baseball Program.
Wednesday, March 17th 2010 The VFW will have a traditional Corn Beef & Cabbage dinner for St. Patrick’s Day Wed. March 17th from 5p.m. till gone. Everyone is invited to attend.
Saturday, March 20th 2010 The annual Fort Peck Summer Theatre Chinese Auction will be held Sat. March 20th at 6:30p.m. at the Cottonwood Inn. Tickets will be sold in advance only & are available from any board member or at KLTZ/KLAN. Tickets are $15 each & includes food, beverage & lots of fun & chances at great prizes. All proceeds benefit the maintenance & improvements at the Fort Peck Summer Theatre.

Friday, March 26th 2010 The 45th Annual Lustre Schmeckfest is Fri. March 26th at the Lustre Christian High School. New serving time is from 5-7p.m. Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for grades 5-8 & preschool free. Wednesday, March 31st 2010 Agland Co-op of Nashua and Interstate Batteries are helping raise money for the Nashua Robotics. The Legos team is representing the State of Montana in Atlanta and need to raise $20,000 in just 2 months. You can help by donating any battery…any size, any condition and any brand. There is a drop off site on the North side of Tire Rama Glasgow, Agland Co-op in Nashua or call 746-3311 or Ray at 263-1280. Pickup is available.
Thursday, April 1st 2010 Great Northern Development Corporation, GNDC, has kicked off its 1st Annual Business Plan Competition, which will award a total of $1500 in prize money to 4 age groups. The competition is open to all individuals in GNDC’s 6-county region, which includes Daniels, Garfield, McCone, Roosevelt, Sheridan & Valley Counties. The purpose of the competition is to inspire area individuals to explore an idea they’ve been interested in pursuing & write a business plan to find out if it would work. Lorene Hintz, Northeast Montana Small Business Development Director, is planning Business Plan 101 workshops. Times, dates, & locations of the workshops will be scheduled based on need. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best business plan in each age group as follows; 10 & younger, $250; 11-15 years, $250; 16-20 years, $500; 21 & older $500. Plans are currently being accepted; the deadline to submit is Thurs. April 1st. Contact Lorene at 653-2590 to setup workshops in area communities, to receive the business plan contest guidelines, or for more information.
