The Soroptimist Thrift Store, 229 4th Street South is open Mon. – Fri. 10a.m. – 4p.m. & Sat. 10a.m. – 2p.m. The “Holiday Room” is decked out with Easter items & clothing & all the Spring & Summer items are out. They have a couple strollers, booster seats, cleats for the whole family, scrubs & maternity clothes, & bathing suits. They are in need of girl’s clothes, sizes 7 – pre-teen. As always, new items are added daily; donations are always welcome. Proceeds from the store are used locally. For more information call 228-8938. The will be closed Sat. April 4th.

The Council on Aging will have a Flea Market Sat. April 4th from 9a.m.-2p.m. Tables are $5 each. For more information or to book a table call 228-9500. There are many new vendors with white elephant, blankets, rag rugs, etc. Donations are still welcome.

The Glasgow Chamber of Commerce presents the Bonnie City Blues & Brews Festival Sat. May 16th at the Cottonwood Inn. Tickets are available now at the Glasgow Chamber Office, Cottonwood Inn & Kltz/Mix-93. Tickets are $50 presale or $60 at the door. The price of admission includes 4 live bands, micro brews & food. Job Service Employers’ Committee, JSEC, presents - EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT SEMINAR – Thurs. April 16th from 8:15a.m. - 12:30p.m. at the Cottonwood Inn. The cost is $40 per individual with seating limited to 32 people. Register by April 10th to receive a free lunch buffet, after April 10th lunch is on your own. Boy Scout Troop 850 is having a Fundraiser Dinner & Live Auction Fri. April 10th at 6p.m. at the Glasgow VFW. Everyone is welcome to come help the scouts raise money for camps & camping supplies beginning with a spaghetti dinner followed by the live auction. Admission is $20 per family or a donation of one of the following items: Bow saw, ax, cast iron griddle/cookware, chef camp stove, cutlery, Dutch oven (2), first aid kit, large ground cloths or tarps, hatchet, propane lantern (2), mallet, plates & cups, shovels – round & square ends, serving utensils, 6-8 man tent (2), water storage container (2). It is time to start organizing Cuisine for the Cure 4. This annual fundraiser for the Northeast Montana Relay for Life is scheduled for Thursday, April 23rd at the Glasgow Elks Club. This event has area cooks prepare foods from various parts of the world and then share them at a night of fun all in the name of raising money for cancer research and support systems. If you are interested in sharing your cooking talents or have questions about the event, please call Rod at 263-8757 after 3:00p.m. or Phyllis at 939-0754.
