Sunday, August 30th 2015 
The St. Marie Women’s Club invites all to their Annual Ice Cream Social Sun. Aug. 30th from 2-4p.m. at the St. Marie Town Hall Building 521. All proceeds, with the help of Thrivent Financial, will be donated to the St. Marie Fire Department. Along with all the ice cream goodies, there will be cotton candy, a water balloon toss, & a live auction starting at 3:30p.m. Some items in the auction are an art work by St. Marie’s own Leath DeWeese, twin size & queen size quilts from the quilters at 1st Lutheran Church & a framed 1956 Woody Woodpecker poster.

The Soroptimist Thrift Store, 229 4th Street South is open Mon. – Fri. 10a.m. – 4p.m. & Sat. 10a.m. – 2p.m. They are having a Bag Sale beginning Sat. Aug. 29th through Sept. 5th. The sale includes clothing, shoes & purses with some exclusions. As always, new items are added daily; donations are always welcome. Proceeds from the store are used locally. Wheatgrass Arts & Gallery will have Bridget Stiverson offering a fused-glass class Sat. Sept. 12th from 9a.m. – 12noon. Participants will be making a 10" glass bowl, limited seating available. Please contact Wheatgrass Arts & Gallery, 230-0148, for more information. Photos by Jerry Jacobson, photo-historian of Northeastern Montana, are on display in the Hallway Gallery at FMDH & may be purchased through the Wheatgrass Gallery. There will be no artist reception at the Gallery for September, works by artist Barb Hanson will continue through September. New pottery by Gloria Klind Jacobson has been added, as well as new fused-glass by Bridget Stiverson & watercolors by Lorene Hintz.

Valley County “Day of Service” 2015 is Sat. Sept. 12th from 10a.m. – 2p.m. at the Senior Center & Parking Lot adjacent to the center. Lunch will be served from 11a.m. – 1p.m. The Valley County Health Department will be giving Flu Shots, $40 without insurance, please bring your Insurance, Medicaid or Medicare card. Hi-Line Home Programs Inc is sponsoring the Child ID & there will be a vehicle safety check to check oil, tire pressure, wipers, window washing, spare tire, etc. Everyone is invited to join local service providers for a fun event that offers many helpful activities.
