AAUW Bazaar
The annual American Association of University Women bazaar is Sat. Nov. 17th, from 9:30a.m. - 3:30p.m. It will feature towels, jewelry, Bridget Stiverson’s fused glass, copper jewelry, Sweet Briars, Hahn’s Crafts, Denae Kauffman’s Photography, raffles & more! Tables are still available for $30 each; all items sold at the bazaar must be homemade. Contact Roberta Barstad, 263-2747, or Carolyn Bachtold, 230-4429. AAUW is a nonprofit organization – bazaar proceeds go to their scholarship fund, Washington D.C. trip, Children’s museum & other local & state projects.

14th Annual Festival of Tree for Relay for Life
The 14th Annual Festival of Tree for Relay for Life is Fri. Nov. 16th at the Glasgow Elks Lodge. The Prime Rib Dinner & Auction will be from 6 – 8p.m. with viewing of all entries Sat. Nov. 17th from 9a.m. – 4p.m. The cost is $25 per person & tickets are available in advance at KLTZ/Mix 93, BS Central & the Glasgow Elks.

Block of Bucks
Watch for the Glasgow Soroptimist members, GHS students, & other volunteers Fri. Dec. 7th as they will be collecting donations for the annual Block of Bucks. Valley County children, infants to 17 years of age, will be able to shop for much needed winter clothing because of this annual fundraiser. The final day to get your child signed up to participate is Mon. Nov. 26th, at the Office of Public Assistance, 630 2nd Ave. South, Suite C. Please let Denise Forbes Kegel, 406-230-2489, know if you have signed up, but for some reason you cannot attend the shopping spree. The children’s shopping will take place Sat. Dec. 8th, & volunteers are needed to assist families as they shop on this special day. If you can help shop or have any questions, call Denise, 230-2489. Donations are needed, encouraged & appreciated. Donations may be mailed prior to the collection day to Soroptimists of Glasgow, Box 961, Glasgow, MT 59230.

Soroptimist Thrift Store
The Soroptimist Thrift Store is open Mon. – Fri. 10a.m. – 4p.m., & Saturdays from 11a.m. – 3p.m. They have Christmas items, clothing & dresses for all those Christmas programs coming up. They are looking for donations of winter items – coats, gloves, boots, & clothing & also bedding. As always, additional items are added daily; donations are always welcome; proceeds used locally.

Hi Line Youth Hockey Gun Raffle
There are still a few tickets left for the Hi Line Youth Hockey gun raffle - a gun a day being given away during November. Tickets are $50 each & winners are eligible to win more than once. Tickets can be purchased at the KLTZ/Mix 93 studios.

They carry Kamik boots & SnowStopper mittens & snow bibs, along with quality used items. They want every child to be well prepared for the winter days ahead. You may also drop your laundry to be professionally cleaned by Havre Laundry.

Valley Community Food Bank
The Valley Community Food Bank, serving only Valley County residents, located at 1020 1st Ave. No., is open the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 12noon-4p.m. If this is your 1st time applying for assistance from the food bank, please bring a photo ID & proof of your physical residence. FWP Checkpoints
Fish, Wildlife & Parks reminds hunters that it is mandatory to stop at FWP checkpoints if you have harvested an animal. Once there, you’ll have the option to voluntarily submit samples to check for chronic wasting disease. The agency appreciates your collaboration as they work to manage CWD in the state. Samples can be submitted at the FWP Office in Glasgow from 8a.m. – 5p.m. weekdays or at the checkpoint located in the Zerbe Bros. parking lot, east of Glasgow.

Teach your children about the joy of giving via the Milk River Activity Center’s Christmas Store! It’ll be open 1 day only, Sat. Dec. 1st, selling new & gently used items to those kiddos that want to shop for their loved ones. Hours for the Christmas Store will be 8 – 11a.m. Have items to donate?
