The Soroptimist Thrift Store is open Mon. – Fri. 10a.m. – 4p.m., & Saturdays from 11a.m. – 3p.m. They have all winterwear out on the floor. Currently they do not want any donations of large furniture. As always, additional items are added daily; donations are always welcome; proceeds used locally. The Thrift Store will be closed Mon. Nov. 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day.

The Valley County Pioneer Museum is making pies for a fundraiser this holiday season. Each pie is $15 and they will be taking orders until Tuesday, November 19th. Pies will be ready for pick-up at the museum on Monday, November 25th from 10am – 4pm. Pie varieties include: Apple, Cherry, Pumpkin, Pecan and Sour Cream Raisin. The annual American Association of University Women bazaar is Sat. Nov. 23rd from 9:30a.m. - 3:30p.m. at the Glasgow Civic Center. Tables are still available for $30 each. AAUW is a nonprofit organization – bazaar proceeds go to their scholarship fund, Washington D.C. trip, Children’s museum & other local & state projects. First Lutheran Church, of Glasgow, is having their annual Stew Feed & Pie Auction Sun. Nov. 24th. The Stew will start being served at 11:30a.m. by the youth at FLC with the pie auction to follow. All proceeds will go towards the First Lutheran Church Youth program & activities. Come for a wonderful meal, a chance to purchase a delicious pie, & some good old-fashioned fellowship & fun.

The Valley County Senior Citizens serve breakfast, featuring homemade regular & sourdough pancakes, sausage & eggs to order, the 1st Saturday of every month from 7 – 10a.m. Cost is $5 per person or $7.50 for those with big appetites.
