Wheatgrass Arts & Gallery
The Can-Am Regatta is sponsoring a Poster Contest with entries located at Wheatgrass Arts & Gallery, 531 2nd Ave. South, during regular store hours. Please come by & cast your vote as the winning artwork will be this year's poster. Voting will continue at the Gallery until July 20th. The final vote will be held at The Art in the Park Sat. July 21st in Fort Peck on the lawn of the Fort Peck Hotel. Also at the Wheatgrass Arts & Gallery through the month of July is the artwork of Poplar artist, Heather Snell. Her artwork is innovative & unique. She uses her own crafted watercolors along with a resin application to create a 3-D effect. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10a.m. – 5p.m. & Saturdays, 10a.m. – 2p.m.

18th Annual Walleye's Unlimited Women’s Fishing Tournament
The 18th Annual Walleye's Unlimited Women’s Fishing Tournament is slated for Sat. July 21st on Fort Peck Lake. Entry fee is $80 per team, payable to Glasgow Walleyes Unlimited. One member must be at least 18 years of age. The mandatory rules meeting will be held Fri. July 20th at 6:30p.m. at the Gateway in Fort Peck & at least 1 team member must attend. The Soroptimist Thrift Store is open Mon. – Fri. 10a.m. – 4p.m., closed Saturdays through August. They have a baby swing & baby jumper in stock as well as water skis & plenty of swimsuits. Art in The Park
Art in the Park will be held Sat. July 21st on the lawn of the Fort Peck Hotel from 10a.m. – 4p.m. Vendors include fine arts, jewelry, woodwork, metal work, baskets, fabric arts, fused-glass, T-shirts, clothing & more. Entertainment will be provided by Prairie Gold & the Fort Peck Troupe. There will also be face-painting for kids & adults. The Fort Peck Hotel will be offering lunch. Hope to see everyone there!!!

New Stars in the Western Skies Talent Show
New Stars in the Western Skies Talent Show is slated for Aug. 3rd during the NE MT Fair. They are currently looking for acts of music & performing arts to participate in the show. All contestants need to contact Dave Pippin, 263-7171 or Cindy Taylor, 228-2584 to enter. There is a new category this year
for 10 and under contestants. Proceeds will be used to fund a scholarship program for Valley County college students enrolled with majors or minors in Music & the Arts.

The 2018 Northeast Montana Fair
The NEMT Fair begins with the 4-H Horse Show & Horsemanship Classes at 9a.m. both Thurs. & Fri. July 26th & 27th. Saturday is the Kid’s Rodeo at 8:30a.m. & the Ranch Rodeo at 5p.m. Monday the 30th is the 4-H Interview Judging at the Event Center. Tuesday is the Wild Pony Calcutta at 6:15p.m. followed by the Wild Pony Races & the Northern Prairie Auto Ram Rodeo Series PRCA Rodeo & Wild Horse Race & it is “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” night. Wednesday is the 2nd night for the Wild Pony Calcutta at 6:15p.m. followed by the Wild Pony Races & the Northern Prairie Auto Ram Rodeo Series PRCA Rodeo & Wild Horse Race & it is “Honor the Military & Law Enforcement” night. The Demolition Derby is Thurs. Aug. 2nd at 6p.m. with the Calcutta. The New Stars in the Western Skies Talent Show is Friday beginning at 6:30p.m. & Saturday brings the Concert with October Road opening for John Michael Montgomery, gates open at 6p.m. Tickets for the John Michael Montgomery concert are available at the KLTZ/Mix93 Studios, The Cottonwood Inn & the Chamber Office. Cost is $35 in advance, $45 at the gate, with price breaks available for kids. The Dreamland Carnival opens Wed. Aug. 1st at 3p.m. & runs through Sat. Aug. 4th at midnight.
