Opheim Rodeo
The Opheim Rodeo, always held the last Sunday in June, will be Sun. June 25th. Barrel racing & team roping slack will be held Sunday morning. If you’d like to take part, you do need to be registered by 9:30a.m. for the 10a.m. competition. The parade will be held at noon with the Opheim Rodeo starting at 1p.m. Breakfast & lunch will be available at the rodeo grounds. Call the Mint Bar with any questions, 762-3299.

Wheatgrass Arts & Gallery
Wheatgrass Arts & Gallery has a new artist. Katie Busch of CK Preparations in Fort Peck is displaying her raku fired pottery. The pottery designs are created with organic material such as feathers & horse hair & then embellished with beads & peacock feathers. Katie also has acrylic abstracts & wildlife paintings. Netty McIntyre creations are 25% off through the month of June.

New Stars in the Western Skies Talent Show
New Stars in the Western Skies will have a Talent Show during the NE Montana Fair on Aug. 4th. They are looking for 15 acts, individuals or groups, of music & performing arts. Registration forms need to be turned in by July 24th. For registration forms & more information, contact Dave Pippin – 263-7171, or Cindy Taylor – 228-2584. All proceeds from this event will be used to fund a scholarship program for Valley County college students that are enrolled with majors or minors in Music & the Arts.

30th Annual Montana Governor’s Cup
The 30th Annual Montana Governor’s Cup is July 6th, 7th & 8th at Fort Peck Lake. Registration begins Thursday at 3p.m., followed by a Mandatory Rules meeting at 5p.m. & Calcutta at 6p.m., all at Kiwanis Park. The Fish Fry is Friday at Kiwanis Park, beginning at 5p.m. with Calcutta at 6p.m. For more details contact the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce & Ag, 228-2222.

Montana Governor’s Cup Youth Fishing Tournament
The Montana Governor’s Cup Youth Fishing Tournament is Sat. July 8th at the Kiwanis Park Fishing Ponds. Registration & FWP’s kids casting clinic is from 7:45 – 8:30a.m., fishing from 8:30 – 11:30a.m., lunch, provided by Thrivent Financial, Shelly George is 11:30a.m. – 12noon with awards to follow.
