The Annual Hinsdale Rodeo is set for Fri. July 3rd. Slack barrels begin at 3p.m., team roping at 4p.m. & the rodeo will begin at 6:30p.m. Concessions available on grounds. For more information call Mark Johnson at 648-7073.

William Rossiter is a singer, songwriter, traveling storyteller, and former college literature instructor. He travels throughout the Northwest singing about railroads, heroes, outlaws, miners, cowboys, and much more. He will be at Fort Peck on Saturday July 4th to give his lively and entertaining program entitled “Magic Carpet Made of Steel” about the songs, stories, and history of the railroad. Program time is 8:00 PM at the Kiwanis Park amphitheater. In case of inclement weather the program will be moved to the Fort Peck Interpretive Center. The Opheim American Legion Post 122 will have their annual 4th of July Community Picnic, Sat. July 4th at 5p.m. in the Opheim City Park. Meat, plates, cups, utensils, coffee & lemonade will be provided by the legion. Everyone is welcome, please bring a dish to share. The drawing for the post’s yearly fundraiser will be held.

The 86th Annual Wild Horse Stampede will be Thurs. July 9th through Sat. July 11th in Wolf Point, MT. Start time for the rodeo is 7p.m. each evening. To get your tickets in advance call 406-653-1770. The KVCK Colgate Country Showdown & Ringling 5 Concert will take place Wed. July 8th at 6:30p.m. Both events will take place at the Marvin Brookman Stadium. The Royal West Amusements Carnival will be going on Wed. July 8th through Sat. July 11th beginning at 5p.m. each day.

The Nashua Lions’ Club will have their Farmer’s Market each Tuesday, weather permitting, beginning Tues. July 14th. These will take place at Lions’ Park by the Senior Citizen’s Center & Civic Center from 5-6:30p.m. Everyone is invited

The 2nd Annual Fort Peck Arts in the Park will take place on the lawn of the historic Fort Peck Hotel Sat. Aug. 8th from 10a.m. to 8:30p.m. All artists, jewelry makers, musicians, bakers & entrepreneurs are invited to participate. Cost per vendor is $20. Everyone participating must provide their own table with set up time beginning at 8:30a.m. Registration deadline to participate is July 16th. The Children's Museum of Northeast Montana announces that it's Lala-poo-looza time again! Try your luck at cow-pie bingo. Purchase squares on the grid and if the cow pie lands on your square - you win! Last years winner won $675! Squares are on sale now at the Children's Museum for $15 each, 5 squares for $50 or 12 for $100. Go in with friends or co-workers to increase your chance of winning. The cow will be released onto the squares during the NE Montana Fair on Tuesday Aug 11th at 5:30pm - you do not need to be present to win. This is a fun event that supports the childrens Museums operating costs. COme to the Museum to get your squares now! The Museum is open on Saturdays and Tuesdays from 10am-3pm and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12-7pm.
